The
Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum will be closed to the public beginning Saturday,
Sept. 21 through Sunday, Oct. 6.
It
will reopen at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7.
During
this time, the museum is installing hurricane glass in the windows above the
Great Hall and Collections area to protect shell collections and exhibits.
The lobby
is also being renovated to make it more welcoming and enhance the experience
for visitors.
The
museum looks forward to seeing all of its island friends and visitors when it
reopens.

construction is completed, stop by the museum to see the new changes. For more
